What you can do from your phone

Live view shows the 4MP HD picture by day, with night vision taking over after dark. Rotate the camera horizontally and vertically to follow activity or check another corner of the yard. Motion detection sends a real-time alert as soon as a presence is detected, so you can open the feed and see what’s going on.

Choosing a mounting spot

1. Test Wi-Fi strength at the exact location with your phone. Distance and exterior walls weaken the signal.
2. Find sun for the panel. The panel connects by cable, so within the cable’s reach it can sit somewhere sunnier than the camera. In Canada, south-facing and unshaded works best.
3. Use the included hardware. A wall/ceiling bracket, screws and anchors come in the box.
4. Charge it first. A USB charging cable is included, so you can top up the battery before you climb the ladder.
