The wear on this unit, described plainly

Fair is the most worn grade in our used grading guide: noticeable wear on a device that still works fully. Here’s what that looks like on this REDMI 17:

• Back and frame: visible scratches.
• Screen edges: light wear marks that are hard to see when the screen is on.
• Function: fully functional.

Because the edge marks fade into the background once the display lights up, day-to-day use is largely unaffected. The scratches on the back and frame are cosmetic.

Function first: our inspection

Cosmetics aside, a Fair phone passes the same inspection as a Like New one. We run a full function test, run the IMEI through CWTA Device Check, which flags phones reported lost or stolen in Canada, and do a factory reset that clears all personal data and accounts. The phone is cleaned before listing.
